What your first visit is like
Whether you are coming with a new diagnosis or bringing a plan started elsewhere, here is what to prepare and how the visit works.
What to bring
A valid ID and your insurance or NSSF details, plus anything that helps tell your story: recent blood tests, scans or imaging (discs or reports), any biopsy or pathology results, and a list of the medicines you currently take. Don't worry if something is missing; we'll work with whatever you have.
Already have a diagnosis or a plan from elsewhere
No referral is required. Professor Bitar regularly reviews diagnoses and treatment plans begun elsewhere, whether you would like reassurance that you're on the right path or a fresh look at the options. Bring your existing reports and he'll go through them with you carefully and explain what he would advise.
How your results are shared
Your results are reviewed with you, in person or by call for follow-ups, so they're always explained in plain language and in context, never left as numbers on a page. Anything urgent is communicated to you as soon as it becomes available.
